New Game request, MadLibs?

When I was young, there was a game we used to play on paper, called Madlibs. There'd be a story on one part, and the other part had a list of things to put down. The story would be about some dude going to the store, or some really random thing that normally would be really a very simple and everyday task. Sometimes the list would ask first for a random name, then it could ask for nouns, adjectives, and even verbs!

Given the order of the list, that is the order that you fill in the blanks that are in the story on the other side. So if it asked for a name, then a noun, then an adjective, followed by another noun, you'd read the story and fill in the blanks using the ordered list.

The result is amazingly funny if you don't look at the story beforehand. You often get stuff that's like the stuff randomized all the time in quicknotes. I thought, though, that since we can randomize so much, there should be a madlibs game, where there'd be a random story in store for the participant, but they couldn't see it yet. Then a list of edit boxes would be there, asking for the words with which to put in the blanks. After that, the person could click like a submit button or something, and the words would automatically be put into the list, and they could read their story and laugh, or not laugh, depending on how random they were with there word choosing. Hope this makes sense! I'd love to see this implimented somehow, *grin*

madlibs are fun, and i've seen this suggested before, but for some reason the admins and CLs haven't noticed, or maybe they did and didn't say anything. I think this would be fun, it would be good for a laugh.

I love madlibs! I've seen some online that are exactly as you described, they don't show the story until you put all the words in the edit boxes. That's a really good idea, so I hope we can get enough people to say it would be so that the CL's do pay attention *smile.*

i've don some strange ones. but the problems with some of the ones online some of the stories are too short. but I did do a rather ammusing one of hamelet's to be or not to be speach, now if i can find it again i might post it on the joke board, but I doubt i'll find it.

another thought, maybe at the end of the week or the month seeing as how almost every game on here gives you points, you could have the site community vote for the best one, but the voting would only last a day, like you make one and it goes from sunday to friday, then on saturday the site votes for the best and then on sunday the vote is announced along with the new madlib for that week, or something, i don't know, it was just a suggestion. or maybe not one madlib a week, just the one people think is the funnyest, and then once a month there could be nominations for the funniest, strangest, the most normal sounding.

i think that would be fun, but I don't think that would work, but mehhh

Yeah, I definitely like the ideas posted here. Also, I was thinking if you were a Premium member, instead of typing something in the edit box, you could use the randomizer. Say it asks to put in an animal, and you can either type an animal, or if you're premium, you can type %i for animal. Well, you've got my vote.
